eclipse-subclipse software package provides Subversion client plugin for Eclipse, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install eclipse-subclipse
eclipse-subclipse is installed in your system.
Make ensure the eclipse-subclipse package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep eclipse-subclipse *
You will get with eclipse-subclipse package name, version, architecture and description in a table
